If your Betta is driving straight into a wall without turning, it’s usually related to the front ultrasonic sensors or the operating mode. Here’s what to check:
Water Level: Make sure the water level isn’t too high. If the sensors end up above the pool wall, they can’t “see” the obstacle, causing the unit to keep going forward without turning. Lowering the water level slightly may help.
Sensor Performance: Betta uses front ultrasonic sensors to detect walls, slow down, and redirect itself. If the sensors are not positioned correctly due to water level or debris, the unit may fail to turn.
Remote Mode vs. Auto Mode: If the indicator lights are solid, Betta is in remote mode and will only move according to remote-control input. When no button is pressed, it will continue in a straight line. After a few minutes of inactivity, the lights should start flashing, indicating that it has switched back to auto-cleaning mode.
